Welcome to the Knightingales Website!
The Knightingales are the second-oldest acapella group at Carleton College, founded as an all-female group in 1982.
We are currently comprised of 13 very talented women who represent all four classes, from freshman to senior.
Trademark Knightingales songs include a self-composed piece called “Rugged,” Moxy Fruvous’ “Gulf War,” and many others.
The ‘Gales have a long history and lots of rich vocal tradition.
We are proud of our members and enjoy bringing vocal goodness to our fellow Carls in our concerts.

Hey Knightingales!! We (the Macalester Sirens) are hosting our annual Fall Semester A Cappella Fest on saturday night November 4th and we’d LOVE it if you could come!!! Please e-mail me back and let me know! We always have fun and arrange a fun a cappella gathering post-performance, so we’d aboslutely love it if you could come sing and hang out! gales! so good to see we have a little home in cyberspace – good work! love the pics, yall look adorable, glad to see the tradition is alive and well. some of us past gales have started up a group on facebook, and so i just wanted to invite you to join us there, post pics, leave updates, anything you wish… just look us up under “carleton college knightingales” in the groups search box…. hope to see some of you there! go love sing!
